Barbra Streisand

April 24 was Barbra Streisand’s birthday! It was very exciting knowing there was a slight possibility of meeting Barbra Streisand as I drove to her seaside home. It was a beautiful, sunny California morning as I headed north up Pacific Coast Highway toward Malibu. I approached the main gate to Barbra Streisand’s Seacliff home and rang the intercom buzzer. I heard a woman’s voice and she asked who I was. I anxiously waited at the gate for somebody (Barbra?) to receive the bouquet of chocolate-covered strawberries. Of course, it was naïve of me to think that Barbra Streisand would answer her gate herself, but one never knows. Her assistant eventually came to the gate to greet me and she received the Choco Berry Bouquet on Barbra’s behalf. The senders of the fruit arrangement (friends of Barbra) must have felt it was important to send the very best...to the very best! I’m sure Barbra enjoyed the fine, Valrhona chocolate-dipped strawberry fruit bouquet arrangement as she gazed out onto the blue Pacific ocean. Just imagine - lounging at your seaside home and eating freshly-dipped Valrhona chocolate strawberries while you gaze out onto the ocean - can life get any better than that?
