Yesterday I had the distinct pleasure of delivering a fruit bouquet to Pacific Palisades. It was a magnificently beautiful drive up the coast. The sights, sounds, and weather were pristine. The destination was on top of this marvelous hill in the Palisades. The view was breathtaking. The only thing that could compare with that marvelous view was the “Love Handbag” that I was about to deliver! It was a very cute ceramic bag full of lovely semi-sweet, white and strawberry chocolate covered strawberries for a soon-to-be surprised young lady. American Idol David Archuleta receives Fruitful Trophy

Last week, the F2R delivery vehicle was summoned to deliver a fabulous Fruitful Trophy edible fruit bouquet arrangement to American Idol contestant, David Archuleta. It was the final contest day and the press and paparazzi were swarming the Nokia Theatre at the Staples Center as I pulled up to a crowd of people who were watching former Idol has-been (Justin Guarini) taping an interview for later re-broadcast. There were throngs of people everywhere; I suspected it might be a challenge to find the designated area to deliver the prize-winning gift to David Archuleta... Eventually, a woman approached me looking quite official with her walkie-talkie and multiple ID badges. She offered to take the bouquet herself to David Archuleta's trailer. "Wow, this thing is heavy!" she said. I watched her saunter off behind security gates as the Fruitful Trophy was admired by other officials. Mother’s Day was very busy for the entire staff at Fruits To Remember.. The day began at 5am, beginning with picking up fresh fruit from the market downtown. We had many deliveries throughout the greater Los Angeles area and there were many unique delivery requests. Our commitment to customer service satisfaction was put to the test when the first fruit bouquet delivery of the day was scheduled for 5:30 in the morning! It’s a safe bet the early-rising recipient was the first person in Los Angeles to receive a luxury fruit arrangement on Mother's Day.

The F2R delivery vehicle visited many new destinations within Los Angeles on Mother’s Day, and many drivers and pedestrians smiled and pointed at the delicious-looking fruit graphics on our delivery vehicle as we passed them by on the freeway or on the streets. While in traffic in Beverly Hills, a gentlemen passenger in a stately Rolls Royce waved at me as the traffic slowed and he slowly rolled down his window. I thought he was going to ask if I had any Grey Poupon, but instead he politely asked if I had any fruit samples, right there in traffic! I did not have any samples at the time and I smiled and laughed and handed him a brochure and we moved forward in traffic.

April 24 was Barbra Streisand’s birthday! It was very exciting knowing there was a slight possibility of meeting Barbra Streisand as I drove to her seaside home. It was a beautiful, sunny California morning as I headed north up Pacific Coast Highway toward Malibu. I approached the main gate to Barbra Streisand’s Seacliff home and rang the intercom buzzer. I heard a woman’s voice and she asked who I was. I anxiously waited at the gate for somebody (Barbra?) to receive the bouquet of chocolate-covered strawberries. Of course, it was naïve of me to think that Barbra Streisand would answer her gate herself, but one never knows. Her assistant eventually came to the gate to greet me and she received the Choco Berry Bouquet on Barbra’s behalf. Can you believe it? Sylvester Stallone of Rocky & Rambo fame walked into our Beverly Hills showroom today! I said to him, “I've got no guns on me, Rambo!” He smiled reassuringly and said all was okay. I showed him our design showroom, he looked at our fruit arrangements and tasted some freshly cut fruit, and we offered him some fresh Valrhona chocolate-dipped apple wedges for him to sample. He enjoyed the fruit very much and he instantly became a fan of our custom-designed edible fruit bouquet sculpture arrangements. He savored the fresh taste of our hand-selected cut fruit and admired the beauty of the fruit bouquet arrangements being prepared for delivery. Wong, Sharon Leal (Dream Girls), comedian Rex Lee, actress-model Bai Ling, and two-time Emmy nominated professional dancer, Cheryl Burke. The aroma of fresh cut fruit and fine Valrhona chocolate was appreciated by many, and our chocolate-covered strawberries quickly vanished from the F2R sample tray. Soon, guests were savoring strawberries from the fruit bouquet arrangements, taking delight in admiring the arrangements and then picking their favorite chocolate-covered strawberry to nibble. Smiles were everywhere and many also commented on our collectible and stylish fruit bouquet arrangement containers. Apl from the Black-Eyed Peas couldn’t resist our tempting Choco Berry display and made several return trips to pluck a chocolate-covered or white chocolate-covered strawberry directly from the fruit arrangement! It was an exciting evening and we were honored to be represented in the gifting lounge area. We look forward to next year!

Happy belated Easter everybody! As usual we were busy for the holiday. Everyone wanted their fresh fruit arrangement from us. Yesterday was a perfect day for our fresh fruit to be Eaton. The weather was perfect - not too hot, not too cold. So, our refreshing fruit bouquets were the perfect thing to have at your BBQ or picnic family gathering. Our beautiful arrangements graced many tables yesterday...once again Fruits To Remember came to the rescue for many people who were looking for that unique item to bring to the party.

Hello everyone, I know its been some time since I last posted. Fruits To Remember has been keeping me busy. We did an event for the Oscars which was kind of cool, and just recently we participated in the Women's Health Expo which was a lot of fun. We had a few fresh arrangements there on display and for sampling. We had the Love handbag, Harley Berry, the Utlimate Choco Berry and much more. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed our fruit and chocolate-covered fruit displays. Indeed, it has been busy the past few months here at F2R.

Wow! I got to work an event that Fruits To Remember was a part of. The event was the gifting lounge for the Oscars on Sunday. It was very exciting to see all the stars. Everyone loved our fresh fruit arrangements. They especially loved our chocolate covered strawberries. The lounge was set up with all types of vendors giving away free stuff to the celebrities. Tia Mowrey from Sister really enjoyed how we had our arrangements set up. She thought our concept was a really great idea. It was a very hectic day as far as setting up and getting started, but once everything was set in place, it was an exciting time.

Well I'm still alive.... Valentines day was a great success. We were so busy it was incredible. We had a lot of same day orders which is always good. My day started early in the morning and didn't end until late that evening. I dipped so many chocolate covered strawberries that if i never see another one again i think I'd be ok. LOL

Our new fruit bouquets were a very big hit. Everyone really enjoyed the Love HandBag, HarleyBerry and all of our new arrangements. We here at fruits to remember did a fantastic job. We were very busy with making the fruit arrangements but we were well organized so that it made it much easier and smooth. The traffic was not too bad. It had its moments where it got kind of hectic. But overall everything went off well. Now it's time to prepare for the next big event. So everyone stay tuned....

Well the rain has seem to have moved on which is great. Im still getting prepared for the big valentines rush that we are going to get. We finally got a break from this rain but it's only a little break. Were supposed to be getting more rain this weekend. Which is something im not looking forward too. The deliveries this week have gone smooth not to much excitement. Everyone seems to enjoy our new fruit arrangements. Well there seems to be an end to this rain soon. The past few days have been really wet. So it's made my delivery process of the fruit bouquets a little difficult. The month of january seems to have gone by very fast. Now we have valentines day just right around the corner. We have a few new arrangemants for this holiday. We have the handbag of love which is very cute for that special person. But i have to say my favorite new fruit arrangement is the HarleyBerry. That fruit bouquet is going to be a big success amungst the other ones we have out. The fruits to remember team have been working really hard at creating new arrangements for everyone to enjoy.

Wow!!! what a busy day i had today. I delivered 11 fruit arrangements in this great weather that we were having. It was raining on and off today which made LA traffic a mess. The Valentines rush is slowly starting already. Everyone seems to be starting early this year with there gifts for there loved ones. We have so many new arrangements for this holiday. Happy 2008 everyone! Well i survived the holiday season here at fruits to remember. We very very busy for Christmas and the new years holiday. The new fruit bouquets that were created for this holiday were a big hit. We received positive feed back from everyone who ordered our arrangements. Now its time for us to focus on our next big holiday which is of course Valentines day. I can't even imagine how busy we are going to be. Last year is still a blur to me cause we were so busy.

Happy new year everyone! We have certainly been busy at fruits to remember. This Christmas season started early for us as far as fruit bouquets go. It seems as though everyone had one of our fruit arrangements at there table. The week prior and the week of Christmas i was so busy delivering all of the arrangements i should have just lived in the delivery truck since i spent so much time in it.lol... The staff at fruits to remember did a really great job as always at making each and everyone of the fruit bouquets to perfection. And in the end it paid off because the people who received one of our fruit arrangements were all very impressed by its presentation, Once the actually tasted it the fresh fruit the were all in love with it. Well i wish you all a happy and safe new year.....

Hello everyone it's been a while since i last checked in with everyone. We have been really busy here at work. One of our most recent big projects was for the NBC tv show LIFE. We made an incredible arrangement out of the word LIFE for there premiere screening party. It took along time to do but we did it and it came out really nice . The L was made using grapes,I was done with apples,F was done with pineapples and the big E was done with strawberries. After the arrangement was done we had to delivery it and that was a task in its self. We had to drive slow that way nothing would get ruined. And in LA traffic that's not such an easy thing to do. Overall everything was great and people impressed with our work.

It was a beautiful Saturday morning as i started my to deliver my orders for the day, it was fairly early so there was not to much traffic which is always good. I arrived for my first delivery and knocked on the door. I waited for a while and to my surprise the person who answered was the beautiful and talented actress Candace Bailey who also happens to be the girlfriend of well known actor Seth Green. Ms. Bailey greeted me a with smile and was very kind she was amazed by the arrangement she had received. I finished the remaining deliveries i had and called it a day. Overall this was a smooth work day.

Today we had a special delivery for the one & only Ms. Paris Hilton. Ms. Hilton received our famous Sweet Fruit Feast arrangement. Today was a nice sunny day as i made my way up the road to the Hilton estate. As i came around the corner i was surrounded by a swarm of media and paparazzi. I was hit with flashing light bulbs, camera men, reporters asking me questions. I politely answered some general questions then made my way onto the estate.

Once inside i gave them the gift basket and saw a few welcome home banners then made my way out. As i left the property i was greeted by the media trying to get a comment from me.

So this was my grand adventure for today....

The great actor and comedian Adam Sandler stops by.... After having a great meal at our neighbors place Roni's Diner. Adam strolled on down to our place. He visited our showroom and viewed our arrangements and took a catalog.He was very nice and friendly. It was a great experance to meet him. Well my day started early today about 5:15 am this morning. I had to go buy fruit this morning that’s why I was up so early. The weather was not too bad this morning kind of warm usually it‘s really cold at that time but not today. The freeway was not too bad up until a certain point there was an accident so I was slightly delayed for a while. I picked up the fruit made it back to the office in good time. We had an early morning delivery it had to be there before 9am.

So I was back out on the road again by 8am to make my first delivery. And folks you never guess who this one was for….. It was for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. This arrangement was to accompany them on there flight to where ever they were going. They were all blown away with the exquisite arrangement and had never seen such a beautiful edible thing like this before. So once again the staff at Fruits To Remember did a really great job. And we had another very satisfied customer.

Hey check out the arrangement the Jolie-Pitts received it just so happens to be my favorite arrangement of the week.

Meeting Lionel Richie

December 23rd:
Saturday morning

Today was going to be a normal busy day for us here. I arrived at the office early in the morning and did my normal routine. Everything was on time and running smooth as usual. Hey what can I say we are the best lol. As I was going through my list of deliveries I came across a very familiar name Lionel Richie. Yes I said Lionel Richie the great singer. Mr. All Night Long Mr. Say You Say Me himself. Well you could imagine how excited I was.

I’ve been a fan of Mr. Richie’s since childhood. So I couldn’t wait to make his delivery. Prior to making his delivery I was to pick up a gift for him coming from his number one fan club. Music Notes was the store and is where there I met women who use to work for Motown music. Can you believe my luck I was getting two treats today. The lady’s store was nice and had some nice memorabilia. We spoke for a while about Motown being that I’m a big Motown fan.

Once I left there I was on my way to Mr. Richie’s house. As I approached his neighborhood I was hit with great shock. The street he lived on was closed due to some traffic emergency. Now what I thought to myself . I pulled over and thought of my next move. I made an attempt to go around but there was no way. I attempted to walk but that didn’t work either. So I had no choice but to go back to the office with everything and try again later.

12:30 pm: I just made my second attempt and it was unsuccessful.
3:30 pm: My third attempt and still unsuccessful.

5:30 pm: Finally I made it to Mr. Richie’s house.

I approached his front gate and rang the buzzer but there was no answer. Buzzed it again still no answer I thought great no ones home after all this. I waited another minute and buzzed it one more time. Finally a man answered I stated my business and was let onto the property. Boy O boy you never guess who answered the door. It was Mr. Richie himself.

He opened the door and saw the gifts and invited me into his house. So there I was standing in Lionel Richie’s house and holding a conversation with the main man himself. He expressed how much he really really liked the fruit bouquet. He thought it was incredible and had never seen anything like it. He asked where it was from and I told him it’s from Fruits To Remember in Beverly Hills. He also liked the car I was driving. Overall we held about a ten minute conversation. We said our goodbyes and I was on my way. Mr. Richie was one of the nicest celebrities I have met.
